We were out on a week long hike and there was no one to look after our new 6 month old kitten. She loves being outdoors and is a hunter so we knew that if we took her with us she would definitely run off into the woods. We put a tile on her collar but still hesitated to let her out of our sight and tried to keep her on a leash but after an hour we were exhausted so we just let her go and let go. My husband and I had a tile app and very often when we couldn't see it we would check the app. When told she was within range, we left her alone. When she was told she was out of range, we got up and walked in opposite directions until she was within range, jingling her tiles. She usually ran back to camp and dropped under the hammocks. The tile worked like a champ and we never had a problem with it escaping. She just wanted to hunt the birds, and Tile let her do it on OUR terms. money well spent.
