I've finally found what I need, what I need My first product I believe was Armor All Extreme Tire Shine, which was recommended to me at an auto parts store. And you just spray it on and let it dry. Now I really liked the way he looked. This was the look I wanted. I want a shinier look, at least that's what I thought, but what I really wanted was a deep, rich black. Now I know a bit more about these products. And I think that's the reason for some confusion about how different people interpret shine and haze. I want a little shine in it, but what I really want is a deep, rich black that looks like a new tire. I don't need to see my face in it. So Armor All gave me the look I wanted... For about a day, not even longer. The whole bottle was gone in less than a week. I knew it wasn't going to help, so I began my harrowing journey of getting sucked into every mediocre product on the market. And looking for the perfect tire cover. I've tried every brand of consumer product and I think they're all rubbish. Whenever I hear Chemiker or Meguires, I just laugh. All this is nonsense. Anything you can buy at an auto parts store is gone in three days, no matter the weather. I have tried over 20 store products and several mail order products and have been dissatisfied with each one. When I bought my car the tires looked great and lasted a couple of weeks. And I wanted something similar. Everyone I spoke to told me that the dealers and pros just have a big vat of "magic slime" that they apply with a sponge that you can't buy anywhere. Well, they have to buy it somewhere, and I set out on a quest to find the perfect tire polish, even if I had to buy a 50-gallon drum of this stuff. I've read page after page and they all give you the same usual suspicions. The ones I've already tried and was extremely dissatisfied. If you see it on the shelf, I dried it and it didn't last long. I will not even look at a consumer product anymore. Then I came across something called Patterson Car Care Tire Love. It was a solvent based product and based on the reviews it was really good and I was very disappointed. It had an OK sign but I had to spray a ton on each tire and I had to touch it up every few days. And it has never given me such an inky black glow. So $30 in whistles. I had some concerns about solvent based tire wipes because I've heard they can turn your tires brown, but I've also heard that they last longer. But in my experience, neither was good, so at that point I was just looking for something that worked. I went to my dealer and asked these guys what they were using and they didn't say anything about it, I guess they didn't want to say it. I got another response that looks like a mysterious vat. I started to think that I had to think outside the box. Maybe paint the tires or use clear nail polish or enamel paint. I may have started losing it a little. Then I read something on some supposed product detail website called "Looks Wet, No Mess". You have to buy a box of these and it's solvent based again, it's sticky as hell and attracts dirt to your tires and wheels like a magnet. You get about four uses per spray, and again, if you don't touch it up in multiple coats every few days, it's not going to look good. I feel like I've been kidnapped by a snake oil salesman again. This stuff went faster than Paterson and might have looked a little better. I shine better but more mistakes. Frustrated again and realizing I was spending too much money and had a whole desk full of tire repairs, I decided to put my search aside for a while and use what I had. At least most of them gave some kind of shine, if only for a day or two. I tried several product codes and it didn't work. And then I came across this blog written by a professional detailer. He described my experience. Let me know what I found out the hard way, which is that all products sold to consumers are just plain useless. You need to buy professional parts and he talked about three that are the easiest for the average consumer to buy and this was one of them. The price for a 32 ounce bottle was pretty reasonable compared to what I've already spent. He recommended diluting it with water, so I looked at it like I could get a half gallon for $17. This is the cheapest item I have ever bought. I noticed something special about the OPTi binding the moment I tried to wash it off my hands. Ironically, it was both slippery and sticky and took more effort to get off. That made me think it would hold up a lot better on my tires. I took some, diluted it 1:1, put it in a spray bottle and quickly gave it up. Then I cut off a small piece of sponge cake and put a few tablespoons of the diluted mixture on top of the sponge cake. It was quite thick, even diluted 1 to 1. I just rubbed it into the tire very quickly and did it once for each tire. Leave it on for a few minutes and when I came back I found there was nothing to wash. This is amazing stuff. It looks exactly how I wanted it and has been holding up well for over a week despite it raining every day. In my opinion, the picture shows this on the seventh day after a single application. This is the gloss I prefer, although the guy who blogged said he preferred a matte finish and that's when I realized people have different definitions of gloss, matte and satin. But I have a deep rich black with a good gloss and the tires look like new. I have no bandage at all after riding. I didn't have to polish or process the tires. My tires have a lot of texture so maybe I'm not sure. I bought a giant blue sponge for a dollar and cut it into about 15 small blocks. I use each to apply to four tires and then discard. A full application on my car takes less than two minutes. Now that I know I like it, I'm starting to experiment with trim and wheel arches. Again, I'm amazed at the bad reviews. The author of this blog post also provided additional information. For example, the quality of the tires and the type of rubber are important, as well as the fact that not every tire looks the same if you use the same product. Maybe that explains the bad reviews on this product. The fact that they used inferior rubber or old rubber is not known to me. But honestly I don't understand how anyone can dislike it. By the way, my tires for reference - Bridgestone Turanza. But for me the search was over and I finally managed to get the product I wanted and it was a dealer quality shine that lasted for weeks. It only cost me an extra $200 to research and no one reading this has to pay. I am confident that if you follow the instructions, you will be satisfied with the results. Even if you are only moderately satisfied, you are priced ahead of any other product. One review said he would use this Tire Supply product. I checked it out and saw that it cost 8x the material itself! EIGHT! I hope he's just a shilling and not serious. I was actually wondering if these reviews were all from competitors. Of course, my experience with products over the past few years doesn't always match the reviews, and I have less confidence in the numerical results of the reviews. Because of this, I try to provide as complete, unbiased, and honest a review as possible for every product I buy. And if you look at my story, I don't take my reviews lightly. Given that I'm much more inclined to give one star than five, give this stuff a try. I was not paid or promoted for this review. Too bad I didn't find this before I bought the useless $200 goo.
