Review on πŸ”΄ EBC Brakes DP31988C Redstuff Ceramic Brake Pads with Low Dust Formula by Carnell Bollwitt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very low dust great car braking

Over the years I have used Redstuff pads on 5 cars front and rear and currently two all fitted to Euro Power sports cars which I drive hard and stop hard. These are the lowest dust pads I've found and the dust that is created washes off much easier than semi-metallic or organic pads and they work lighter on the rotors. It's a big improvement over factory seals in terms of dust, stopping power, noise and fade resistance, and lasts surprisingly long with repeated heavy use. Pedal feel is a little softer than the factory pads, but under hard braking it's straight forward, really modular and controllable and stays that way after many hard stops in a short space of time. Distance. Breaking in is next to no more difficult, but takes a few miles more than most other pads. Expect them to be a little noisy up front until they go to bed, but when they're seated they're really quiet. Aside from the fact that they turn off the car, it's not a competition site, but it would be good for a lot of autocross runs. They stop immediately when it's cold and continue when it's hot or wet. The pedal is a little softer than the factory pad, but not by much. This is a very effective pad considering your brakes don't stop your car, your tires do, and with the best braking tires these pads go beyond that.
