They are not designed to compensate for the growth of thin boys.
I usually love Levis but my son prefers skinny and long pieces so I always buy him skinny or skinny jeans. They fit great in length, but are not skinny jeans. I've had to return a pair because they're too big for him. They will suit the occasion but I'm still not satisfied with how they suit it.
