We used these harnesses on our adult dog last year and have been very happy with them. I like its elasticity, which protects it from sudden shocks when we have to stop abruptly. This was never a problem with our adult dog. , since he has the muscles, reaction time, and balance to keep from falling anywhere (and even if he does, he's not sensitive enough to injure himself). So the length is perfect when using harnesses for an adult dog, but can be problematic for a young puppy.
