I have a 2013 Ford Escape AWD and they are easy to put on and take off. I used them on a snowfall in the Sierra recently (January 2016) and never lost traction. I used two pairs, one for the front and one for the back. I recommend buying two pairs for 4WD vehicles, one pair for front and rear. You don't need wheel clearance (even Porsche can use it), the top speed is 30mph and if you're faster you risk wrecking it. there's no vibration or noise, and they don't lose traction when cornering at 40 km/h. They are so easy to fit a 10 year old can do it and each tire takes less than 5 minutes to fit. I have brand new Dunlop SP WINTER SPORT 4DATTN tyres: FORD ESCAPE AWD DOES NOT MEAN FULL REAR WHEEL DRIVE. Car socks give me much better grip on snow, ice and mud. Buy them and save yourself from a spinning disaster or worse, an accident.
