Great start, terrible finish :(

Installation was easy, mounting the tires was very easy and as another reviewer mentioned you will see people wondering what it is and ask questions its good to drive i had no problems and couldn't make ends meet at 40km/h i used them for about 2 hours until we hit a clean road and i had to take them off, when...well it was impossible to remove them They were stuck to the tires and we tried very hard to remove them until they started tearing and we were wondering how we were going to get them…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

They came off and I lost them the first time I used them

After about 20 minutes while driving they jumped off my car and I lost them. The pictures show that the straps can be used to attach the toes of the tires to the car but they do nothing, they fit like a sheet over the tire and that's it. I suspected they had come loose even though they fitted the tire perfectly, and I spent a lot of time pulling as much material behind the tires as possible. I drove a few blocks, stopped and checked, then drove for 20 minutes and they came off the tires and got

The installation and uninstallation is much more complicated than described.

We bought these because our Subaru says it doesn't have enough room for chains and it sounded like a good alternative. We tried several times to put them on the front wheels, but it didn't work. So we tried rear tires with less profile and finally put them on. As long as they were on, they seemed to provide good traction. Then we had to take them off and they were so tight it was impossible. We had to get help to undress her. We ended up cutting off one side but had to cut off the other. I…

As good as chains or ropes, even a child can put them on!

I have a 2013 Ford Escape AWD and they are easy to put on and take off. I used them on a snowfall in the Sierra recently (January 2016) and never lost traction. I used two pairs, one for the front and one for the back. I recommend buying two pairs for 4WD vehicles, one pair for front and rear. You don't need wheel clearance (even Porsche can use it), the top speed is 30mph and if you're faster you risk wrecking it. there's no vibration or noise, and they don't lose traction when cornering at 40

Pros
  • quality construction
Cons
  • dull packaging

Decent grip, light weight, low profile

I'm using these on a 2015 Chevy Impala that doesn't have room for regular chains. I reckon I can get close to 150 miles total with them. When I first used them they seemed to wear down significantly after just a few miles and I didn't expect them to last long. Since then they don't seem to be worn at all. I was very careful to minimize stress on bare tarmac, gravel, etc. I don't think they offer the same traction as chains on packed snow, but they definitely increase traction. They are much…

Gets you from A to B on snow and ice.

Great product, I personally have two sets for each of our vehicles, one for a Toyota RAV 4 4WD and one for a compact 4 door front wheel drive sedan. Able to safely drive both cars up and down steep hills etc over snow and ice without losing traction (only used one set on a few cars with no problems but decided to upgrade to two sets of cars for an extra margin of safety ). If you want them to do what you expect them to do, like any product you need to use them carefully, not drive them on clean

  • Tough finish

Great product if you understand the limitations

This product will ***significantly increase traction on ***firm snow*** and ***ice*** when used as directed. It will ***not*** turn your car into a "Super Blizzard Machine". If you try to drive a few inches of thick (fine) snow, you're likely to get stuck. If you're trying to spin your tires, the AutoSocks will help, but they'll also likely fly off your tires due to centrifugal force. When you're driving at 100 km/h on a snowy highway and you have to brake hard, you're **out of control**. The…

You choose accessories and parts

I will say that on ice and packed snow they work as they should. What makes them 3 stars is all the rocks in your tread wear through the fabric very quickly, although I've never been on sidewalks, some holes formed within 20 miles of use. I don't remember the warning about it, but if it was there I missed it. Putting them on is much easier than taking them off. You must have enough space for your hand between the car tire and the fender to get it on the tires. After putting them on 3/4 hoops…
