Well since they don't work they have no value and are a waste of money and most importantly a waste of time trying a product that doesn't do what I bought it for. DO NOT cut fasteners along a cutting line that leaves equal portions of copper connection points on both ends. Trim it to leave almost ALL the copper pieces to connect under the metal tabs. This provides a large area that can be used as a contact point. This works very well. I've also tried making the strip thicker as others have suggested and it sometimes worked. But the wrong move and the light goes out. Bad connection! So I recommend cutting on the other side of the connecting tabs rather than in the middle. Even with idiots, the connection is strong. I attached my new cord to the first set ordered and they are connected to my room. They go around the wall and out into the hall. Above and around the washer and dryer in the closet lighting our hallway across from the bathroom. I turn it off as a night light so I have a dim glow to get up at night and go to the bathroom. A better product would be one that turns on automatically when the light is low and STAYS ON BY the backup battery during a power outage. I'll look for those lights. I'm only giving the product three stars because you have to fiddle with it and DO NOT FOLLOW the instructions (video) to make it work.
