To be honest a four year old could assemble these tables without help and once they assemble it will be quite difficult for them to destroy even if they use it as a ladder come to what or otherwise. They are durable and the finish is nice, just look at the corners, I've scratched my knees a few times already. Update 2012 - When I bought the table it was a steal, about a third of the current price. . Not sure if it's worth the current one as similar tables are still selling for less than I've paid elsewhere. Update 2 2012 I managed to break my leg at one of the tables. A little hot glue and everything is fine, just like the day I bought it. Update 2013 - I still love these tables. They are so versatile that they are easy to move around. We use one for a small TV and keep a small 'pocket' underneath it to hold the controllers and gaming accessories for the systems connected to it. Another table next to our chairs in the living room. They hold up well over time for their price, we haven't spotted or chipped yet!
