Review on Lippert 335852 Straptek Tension Technology by Terrance Palau

I bought this kit to use on my 32ft Forest River TT towed by my Mercedes ML350 tdi. Yes, that can be handled, thank you. Problem with Straptek, but. When I tried to connect it all went fine until I tightened the straps. The left ratchet failed, causing the bar to suddenly break. It would really hurt if my leg was underneath! The ratchet system appears to be faulty as the pawls do not engage on both sides at the same time, which is a manufacturing defect. To date, Lippert hasn't fixed the problem, just wanted to know where I bought it, which was Camping World. CW knows nothing about the product. I'm still working on a new properly assembled left hand ratchet and strap. When I get it I think I'll carry my old chain system with me for a while - just in case. I'm not worried about the straps, they can handle 20 times the load. And I love its simplicity - if it works as advertised, I'm a "happy camper".
