and it looks great. Like

I have changed this rating - see solution at the end. The reason I give it 1 star is actually in favor of TOTO because people tend to look at 1 star reviews. At the end I'll tell you how to solve a problem that tech support doesn't even know about - which is absurd since it should be happening all the time. Or maybe the guy I found was a newbie. Anyway, if that's the case, he must have given me to someone else. The tech support alone gives it 1 star (the installation instructions are pretty terrible too) FIRST REVIEW: I've used this product for a day and it seems great. I love it. So why 1 star? INSTALLATION, TECHNICAL SUPPORT and FRAUD. With one exception, this thing is very easy to install. The exception is part A-7, which is a tee that allows you to connect the water line on the C200 to the water line for the toilet fill valve. Prior to the installation of this tee, there is a water supply line that connects the service water to the inlet valve of the existing toilet. Plug in this TEE so that you can connect the TOTO water pipe to it. Sounds easy enough. You unscrew the water line from the toilet fill valve, which is a threaded plastic tube. You screw one end of A-7 to the pipe and the other end to the plastic fitting. The water supply for TOTO is connected to the third branch of TEE. The problem is that part A-7 is metal, not plastic, and the part that screws into the toilet fill valve tube IS AN INCORRECT CONNECTOR. Yes, the threads match. But they only come with a very hard plastic washer, and you can't tighten that connector enough to keep it from leaking. Why? Because this end of the TEE is designed to connect to a METAL toilet fill valve which presumably can handle some extra torque and probably has other differences (eg. But it will never close against the plastic toilet fill valve. The solution is simple - buy the THU9090R advertised as an extension that allows you to install a tee if you don't have enough room to install a tee which takes more room than just a waterline this part costs $36 Dollars and is essentially the same as a standard $5 toilet pipe, but can't be found anywhere else other than TOTO.This works because the part that connects to the toilet fill valve hose IS DESIGNED FOR CONNECTING TO STANDARD THREADED PLASTIC PIPE my American toilet, as opposed to the TEE (Item A-7) which is a completely different type of fitting, and the other end is comfortably em attached to the metal end of the tee. In other words, this part acts as an ADAPTER to connect two dissimilar parts - the plastic hose of the toilet fill valve and the metal end of the TEE. Now I'm sure the THU9090R part works great as an extension cord. But nowhere is it advertised as a necessary part for my application, ie. as TRANSFER. Therefore I claim that this is a SCAM. It's not an extension, it's an adapter. If it were just an extension, the fitting that connects to the toilet flush valve threads would be identical to the fitting on Part A-7 that connects to the toilet flush valve threads. But that's not the case. So tell me - if a standard TEE can only connect to METAL inflating valves, why would they make the THU9090R to connect to PLASTIC inflating valves and not metal inflating valves? If it was just an extension it would also have a metal fitting which doesn't work with plastic. But it's NOT just an extension, it's both an adapter and an extension. Tech support was useless by the way. They had never heard of this problem and, moreover, only made stupid suggestions. I would send photos, but I've already spent enough time on it. CHECK AND SOLUTION: The solution to the problem is to go to your local hardware store and buy a flat, fairly stiff rubber washer that fits over the part of the tee that connects to the inflation valve. Less than a dollar. Do you feel like an idiot for not trying to find such a washing machine before writing a review? NO NO NO NO NO. Here's why: 1) I specifically asked Toto from tech support if they had such a puck. Not only did they not, but the guy didn't think it would solve my problem. 2) Toto was installed by a licensed plumber after replacing the toilet and it kept working. The plumber thought there MUST be a TOTO supplied part to handle this. He never offered me to just go to the hardware store to find a washing machine, which was my initial request. I wish I could leave a review about plumbing too. You probably think I'm an amateur and my opinion is useless - otherwise why would I hire a plumber for this job? You would be wrong. I built a bathroom 20 years ago and never had a problem with it. But I have cancer and am undergoing chemo and while I could easily install a tote bag, installing a toilet was too much of a challenge for me as I barely have the energy to climb stairs after chemo. I have bought hundreds of items on Amazon. This is my first truly negative review.
