Best shaver I have ever used. I started using safety razors with Edwin Jagger DE89. It was good but not very aggressive. After four years of use, the thread holding the head came loose. After that I tried the Merkur MK-23c for a few more years. It worked well but was more difficult to shave compared to the DE89. The Mercury was also more aggressive and difficult to handle. I accidentally forgot my Mercury on the way, so it's time to try something new. I didn't want a razor with a screw on the head as it could break along the way. Enter the butterfly style. I wanted a heavy grip so I wouldn't push hard. It seemed difficult for the butterfly style. But hello, Mr. Parker! I tried and I'm glad I did. I've used it once and am very impressed. I even tried the blades that came with it, although I already have my favorites. I have very sensitive skin and thick hair that is very difficult to live with. But this razor is perfect for me. The weight is heavy, as expected, but perfect for not applying too much pressure. Let the weight of the razor do the work. The smoothest shave I've ever had with minimal effort. Easier to clean than Edwin Jagger and much easier to use than Merkur. The only difficult part of the Parker to flush is the middle part where the support piece is located. Otherwise it's a perfect shave.
