An excellent razor for beginners or experienced shavers

This razor reminds me of the classic Gillette razor I used years ago. I love the twist to open the handle and the butterfly motion at the tip of the razor. This allows you to insert and remove the blades in the razor very quickly and conveniently. My facial hair is not very coarse and I have a sensitive neck. I was pleased to read previous reviewers' reports that this razor was soft and non-aggressive. Given the features of my face, I didn't want to buy an aggressive razor. This shaver works…

Razor to life.

I've been using a "Bic" disposable razor for years and didn't care why anyway. I saw an ad once where Rick from Pawn Stars was promoting a razor like this. I bought it and my wife bought me a vintage brush and soap dish to complete the set. I liked the idea of saving money on razors, as well as the nostalgic premise of shaving as it has been practiced for years. Well, I wouldn't go back to "Beaks" or anything like that, but I dare say the straight razor that Rick was promoting practically fell…

Pros and cons of razors and blades

I bought this razor over a month ago. I try not to give feedback until I've had some time with the product. Professional. That's a great razor. That is hard. It's well built. Cheater. This is a very aggressive razor. It is suitable for beginners but be aware of the space. Pretty significant if you ask me. My face has received numerous scratches and cuts with Parker and Derby blades which are quite soft. Razor burn is also normal for me when using this razor. I would only use this for heavy…

Parker 66R Butterfly

. I have three Parkers and I really like all three. Parker 99, 82 and this Parker 66. This Parker 66 is my favorite because of the grip. I shave in the shower and this handle has excellent grip properties. There is no harm. The shave is absolutely fantastic. I have a feeling Parker has the same shaving head on the three handles mentioned but different. Even if I can be wrong. The 99 is fantastic with a unique barbershop grip but this is my new one and I really love it. This straight razor has a

Has the head been redesigned? Much more aggressive

I bought a Parker 66R about two years ago and was really excited. Always a great shave with almost any blade. My wife dropped it on the floor while cleaning the razor stand and it broke. I ordered this in June 2020 and it's not the same. This one is super aggressive. I have to be very careful in tricky spots or I'll cut (even with the softest blades). I've tried contacting Parker if they remake it but their website says you should direct any questions to the seller you bought it from so no help

The happy days are back!

In 1964, when I was 17, I enlisted in the Marine Corps. At boot camp I got a Gillette safety razor and a can of Barbarsol. It served me well for many years, but then in the early 70's Gillette came out with the Track Two razor and DE razors soon faded from view! Other brands emerged and each competed for the market. Instead of prices going down with the competition, they went up. just like printers and cartridges. Before the internet, finding a safety razor was almost impossible, let alone a…

Absolutely perfect for me: Heavy Handle Butterfly Style!

Best shaver I have ever used. I started using safety razors with Edwin Jagger DE89. It was good but not very aggressive. After four years of use, the thread holding the head came loose. After that I tried the Merkur MK-23c for a few more years. It worked well but was more difficult to shave compared to the DE89. The Mercury was also more aggressive and difficult to handle. I accidentally forgot my Mercury on the way, so it's time to try something new. I didn't want a razor with a screw on the…
