Review on Victorinox RH Forschner BladeSafe: Ultimate Protection for 6-Inch to 8-Inch Knife Blades by Andy Baudoin

Bought this guard after reading the reviews that said 4 rubber pads leave marks on the knife. I figured it wouldn't bother me too much. I was wrong. After scraping off the markings several times before each use, I eventually pulled the pads out of the protector and threw them away. I considered putting some paper between the knife and the pads, as several reviewers have, but I remembered that the paper contained acid and I was concerned about the acid's long-term effect on the blade. Now the blade rattles a bit in the guard, but that worries me less than having to clear the pad marks on the knife every time I use it. The parry guard does an excellent job of protecting you from the blade, but I will not buy guards for this brand of knife again.
