KVM doesn't seem to work for me at all. I can connect both my laptop and desktop computer directly to my 4k@60Hz monitor with no issues. When cycling through KVM, only the desktop controls the connection, and even then it needs to be dropped to 4k at 50Hz to avoid very frequent screen blanking. Both laptops are hopelessly connected via a switch (even at 1080p). They cycle through the monitor and then lose connection. Very rarely do I get a brief screen flash before it dies again. Moving wires in any permutation doesn't help, and in any case the same wires work fine when connected directly without a switch. Too bad, because the Switch looks well made, it just doesn't do what it's supposed to do at all. .
