Review on 🎨 BDF 3ABST Abstract Stained Glass (36 x 89.625 inches) - 3 Continuous Patterns by Heather Brown

Good stuff. Very difficult.

We bought this for the side windows on each side of our front door, as well as the large semicircle that spans the door and parking lights. It is much thicker than the standard window tint that has been replaced. While the old foil was so thin and light that we couldn't attach it without a few folds, you had to step on the folded edge to fold this material. I had a table set up in the garage to lay flat which helped the product lay flat. It comes on a roll and will want to curl up if your piece is very large. I started with the rectangular parts of the parking lights. Six pieces approximately 10x15. They say it will be reduced and that's how it will be. What started as fully covered at 15 inches dried to a total gap of nearly 1/8 inch. It's not visible from the outside but my wife can see it from the inside when the sun shines on the front door. The large semi-circle (about 60 inches wide) wasn't too difficult, although I walked up the stairs with all the film dripping around me. I would suggest a warm day to allow the film to lay flat and relax before working on very large pieces. Warm and flat also allows the water sprayed on the adhesive side to "activate" better. As a result, we got a 1x3 bubble in one big chunk that couldn't be processed. It was larger at first but with the constant action of the squeegee I expelled some air but more importantly wetted some glue to help it stick to the window. It's textured on the back, so there was some fabric in the hand tool they provided to help it slide across the surface. The bubble is invisible from the outside in sunlight or illuminated at night. And it's only visible at a certain angle and under certain lighting conditions. To ensure that there are no gaps after shrinking, you can press the film firmly against the window frame and carefully shorten it lengthwise. Of course, this extra will not lay flat until the shrinkage is complete, and then it most likely will not fully adhere to the glass. No one will notice that the edge isn't perfectly flat. Make sure all cutting edges are very sharp and don't be afraid to break the new edge of the box cutter provided. This material is VERY heavy and sometimes difficult to cut with a blade. Complete privacy at night even with the lights on. However, shadows and silhouettes are very visible when you stand between a window and a light source.
