I really liked this brake kit for the first 4 months of use. They looked great and felt better in my opinion than the stock brakes they replaced. However, after four months of use, a cyclical clicking sound could be heard from one of the front rotors under light braking at lower speeds (e.g. when trolling through a parking lot). The auto tech who fixed the problem for me determined that the cause was a bulge around one of the rotor slots; He grounded the climax but warned that the problem was likely to return. Unfortunately, he was right, because after another three weeks of driving, the noise returned. As a Masters in Materials Science, my intuition tells me that the material properties of rotors are not constant; Perhaps the material in the groove area is harder and therefore wears out more slowly than the rest of the rotor? While I don't know exactly why, I do know that my wife hates me for putting this kit in her car and for basically flushing $359.37 down the toilet.
