First, let me say that my experience was probably accidental. I removed the old one relatively easily. The boy was rusty and dirty. This year the LeSabre, a 2003 Limited with 77,000 miles, must not have come from the factory with a cabin air filter. There wasn't even a filter frame. I bought both the frame and the filter to extend the life of this new fan. I know without a doubt that the lack of a filter allowed moisture and various debris to pass through. From afar, the bracket/mounting plate looked similar. In close comparison, they weren't. I had to drill new holes but was only able to attach two screws. I managed to glue it properly. I had it in the same orientation as the last one. Hose at the back, power connection to me. The power connection fits well, at least that's how it should be in a similar model. Once set up, this device works really well and blows a lot harder than the previous device.
