This is a small dash cam very easy to install and set up in minutes. However, the cable does not leave much room for maneuver. It's not too long, but long enough to get to a typical cigarette lighter in a car. The photo/video quality is very good. The camera turns on and off automatically with the car. But about 30 seconds after turning it on, the screen goes black and only a small flashing blue light makes it clear that it's still filming. This small flashing blue light can sometimes be difficult to see in bright sunlight. With the Akaso Car App you can download videos recorded on your iPhone/iPad. You can see the timestamps and location where the video was recorded on a Google map. However, the WiFi speed is the limiting factor (1-3 MBS) so you can practically only download event-related videos in a reasonable amount of time. However, you can copy the videos to your computer and use other software (Akaso GPS Player for Windows) to view them on your laptop in the same way. All in all, this is a great DVR for its category.
