Power in a small package

This is a powerful set of features about the size of a golf ball. I was *stunned* by this powerhouse when I checked ALL the fields for my Dash Cam requirements: GPS Verification WIFI Verification PHONE APP Verification FULL HD Verification SHARP SCREEN Verification PARKING Verification IMPACT OFF Verification EASY INTUITIVE CONTROL ME CAN FEEL IN THE DARK Check! third attempt at getting dashcams right and i have to say this is my favorite. Didn't expect this value. The video is very clear and…

Decent but not enough. WRONG NAME! RECORDS 1080!

Pros: The picture quality of this camera is decent. Cons: I placed the camera out of sight behind the rearview mirror. To see that it's at the right angle and that the display is obscured by a mirror, I have to connect to the camera's Wi-Fi. To do this, there is a button on the side that you have to press to start the Wi-Fi network and connect from my phone. That's fine for the initial setup, but annoying when watching videos. Every time I want to review the video footage (to review the…

Very good dash cam in car and car electronics

This is a small dash cam very easy to install and set up in minutes. However, the cable does not leave much room for maneuver. It's not too long, but long enough to get to a typical cigarette lighter in a car. The photo/video quality is very good. The camera turns on and off automatically with the car. But about 30 seconds after turning it on, the screen goes black and only a small flashing blue light makes it clear that it's still filming. This small flashing blue light can sometimes be…

I really like this DVR!

I was driving a car when my windshield was smashed by a rockfall from a passing truck and it was taking a hell of a long time to get my replacement license from the trucking company. If I had this camera it wouldn't be such a problem, seeing is believing. The camera is smaller than I expected, which is good as it takes up little space on the windshield. Luckily I didn't have another incident, but I can manually block a clip that I want to watch later. Make sure you have a power bank (USB) if…

All seeing works like magic.

Akaso V1 is a very compact device. But don't let its small size fool you. It is equipped with many functions and is very effective as a dash cam. The device comes with everything you need, including a camera, a microSD card, two different types of power cables, two different ways of mounting it in a car, clips to hide the power cable, etc. It can be attached to the windshield with a be Static Plastic Film. This method is great if you have a protective film in your vehicle or plan to move the V1

Not a bad camera, cute and small

I bought two of these and installed them in my wife and I's car about a week ago. This camera is beautiful and very compact, you can put it next to your rearview mirror and it's easy to miss. I can't even see it from the driver's side of my wife's Highlander. I ended up buying a fuse tap kit for this so I could run the wires down through the headliner and APiller without showing the wires. Night time quality is okay (not as much light as I was hoping for, but pretty good) and day time quality…

Good DVR for the price

The first unit I received looked like a return which was disappointing as it is advertised as new. I sent it back and they sent me a new one. Build quality is good, the camera feels solid and has some weight (doesn't feel cheap at all). It was easy to set up and I didn't have to format the SD card on my PC first. I only used the camera to format and everything worked fine. It's a little fiddly to snap the card into the slot, but once it's in, you don't have to worry about it. Connecting my…
