Review on 🔧 Park Tool Pedal Tap Set for Bicycles by Ham Channell

Since the normal 9/16 tpi for a fine is 18 you've kind of fallen into the trap of buying this tap set if you ever want to re-tap a bike crank since older bikes are usually 9/ have 16 at 20 tpi. On the other hand they worked fantastic, my friend kinda pushed the left pedal back and ripped off the last 3 or 4 strands but the left tap fixed it very well and her pedal went right in with finger pressure. While it warns against cutting new threads with this set, to be fair bike cranks are soft aluminum, so they use 20tpi 9/16" pedals instead of the standard 18tpi to increase the strength of the relatively weak and light pedals The faucets are made from a very strong steel alloy and will likely perform well (but always refer to the manufacturer's recommendations).
