I bought this to use in my home water filtration system. The inner tube will be moved before installation and this may hit the washer inside. Make sure the washer is deep inside and pull the collet nut all the way out so the hose doesn't move the washer. It leaked right after I installed it, but I figured out why they were leaking pretty quickly and I was able to fix it. This greatly simplifies installation without the need for PVC glue and copper soldering. I mainly used shark bite connectors on the copper pipe and nipples on the water system. I used these connectors to put it together in about half an hour. Prep work is important, and the day before I wrapped everything in Teflon tape to reduce downtime. My house shouldn't have been left without water for too long.
