I live in the woods at the foot of Mount Hood. As a result, we have quite a few woodland creatures trying to make my house their home. I do not use poison to control these pests as I am not comfortable putting other animals, including cats and dogs, at risk. This barrier sounds like a good option for my pest control arsenal. I simply placed it around the underground entrance that is outside under my patio as well as my furnace exhaust vent. I know that this time of year, pests start looking for warm, dry places. I intend to update this with the onset of winter. I have a good idea of how many of them are invading underground by the number of mice, shrews, voles and the occasional rat, which kicks off my inner pied piper (it keeps the crows happy).
