This is a common cut for apples. I've had one for about ten years and thought it was going to dull so I ordered this one thinking the new one would be sharper and it would take less effort to slice and core the apple. The old one still cuts. Haven't decided which one to keep yet. You don't need two. I will send one to a friend.
