Review on BOFAA Windshield (Non Magnetic) Covers,Blocking Rays,Elastic by Charlie Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not perfect but useful

I wish Revain would allow half stars because I'd like to give it 3.5 stars. This is useful, but there are problems. It took me a little learning to figure out how to put this cover on myself, but once I get the hang of it, it comes on and comes off pretty quickly. The fit doesn't quite meet my expectations. I used it on a 2015 Chevy Silverado and a 2003 Chevy Suburban. On both trucks, the lower part of the cover fits very well with straps that attach to the front wheels. But the top end was a different story. The top straps that connect and fasten inside are unfortunately not adjustable and I found it very difficult to get the top of the case tight enough to prevent snow or ice from getting inside the case. The gap wasn't TOO big on the Suburban, but when I used it on the Silverado it left a huge gap at the top, even after I tried knotting the straps to shorten them. And I've found out the hard way that if even a little moisture gets between the cover and the windshield, the cover will stick to the truck. I figured I'd either rip the lid off, or peel the paint off the truck, or both. This design would be greatly improved if the top straps could be adjusted. All that said, if you install it on your car before the snow or sleet starts falling so the hood and windshield are completely dry, and if you can get the top edge tight enough, it will definitely save you time in the snow or frost in the morning and survives the winter quite well even in very windy nights.

Pros
  • Fits generic cars
Cons
  • Has imperfections
