Review on EZDIY-FAB 120mm Addressable RGB LED PWM Fan with LED Strips for Motherboard Sync and Adjustable Colorful Case Fans, including PWM Controller by Roberto Manzer

INPUT Side LED Ring - Non Reversible

I got these fans for my AIO cooler when I realized the other EZDIY FAB fans I have are not PWM and I turn the fans on didn't want to run my heatsink without speed control. .That's pretty good for dual ARGB ring fans, BUT (there's always a 'but', right?) These are single ring fans with an LED ring on the suction side. Depending on your case and whether you're pushing or pulling air, the LED ring may end up on the wrong side of the case and not look good. As far as I can tell, the arrangement is irreversible. So if they're not blowing in the direction you want them to be, they won't look good with the LED ring on the inside, not on the outside. In my case in Lian Li Case 011. I blow air through the heatsink on top as an exhaust fan so the LEDs are pointing in the right direction, but the rest of my case fans that suck air into the case end up with the LED ring inside against the mounting holes . and the fan frame would block most of the light so I couldn't use them there and for that I had to stick with non PWM dual ring fans. These fans do a good job of keeping the air moving. They peak at 1750 rpm and at 100% you can hear them, but they're not terrible. I have 3 in the cooler. For me they run at 800 rpm most of the time, which is only noticeable at 60-75%. Syncing with Mystic Light works through the controller, but all fans and strips work at the same time. They can also be concatenated and connected directly to aRGB headers. If you want them to run in series you need to daisy chain them to the Argb header on the motherboard and since each header only supports 72 LEDs and each fan has 18 you can only address 4 of them per header even though the fans have one have good pass-through cables that allow you to daisy chain argb cables without additional adapters. I ended up using a controller to combine the fans and then hooked up the controller to my Argb and fan speed control header as I have too many fans to control them individually. My only complaint and what keeps me from giving these fans a 5 star rating is that they are unidirectional and the LED ring may end up on the wrong side of your build which is a shame.
