Review on Lego Brick Playing Cards: Building Fun Meets Classic Games! by Charles Quinones

Wrong suits

I bought these for my 7 year old grandson who loves Lego and likes to play cards - not fish or other children's games but the adult version of Liverpool where you have to watch out for the costumes. He also puts together 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles. He is also very color blind. How does he do that? Pay attention to shapes, not colors. Luckily he wins every card game with these cards, because the blue and gold background colors and the wrong suit colors confuse the others. Why didn't the manufacturer leave the cute lego bricks on the back and use white for the card faces? Why didn't they use the right suit colors? The minifigures are cute, but the jumbled colors make us want to use these decks to build houses instead of playing games.

Pros
  • Standard playing card decks
Cons
  • The list will be long.
