In February of 2013 my Mother and I both had our dryers stop working within 2 days of each other. We were tired of buying expensive dryers that did not last. I found a great deal on a Whirlpool WED5300VW0 and we both purchased this model. In October of 2018 her dryer would not turn on. I have never thought of attempting to fix a dryer in my life. She did not want to pay for a service call and had decided to purchase a new dryer. After doing some research online I found that the thermal fuse could be her problem. I removed the back cover from her dryer and tested the thermal fuse. Once it was determined that the fuse was the culprit I found this Blue Stars thermal fuse at a great price. A simple unhooking of the old fuse and installing the Blue Stars fuse took a couple of minutes. I will never forget the look on her face when that dryer started right up. I am going to order another one of these and change out my fuse. This small little inexpensive fuse saved her from unnecessarily buying a new dryer. My Mother and I are quite happy with this fuse!
