So far we have used a water jug with a zero filter. So far the subscription has been reliable. However, due to the pandemic, obtaining replacement filters has become a problem. And we've wanted a linear solution for a long time. It came with a missing gasket. I contacted Brita to get a replacement but they never sent it. I ended up making my own using some PVC stock. It also came with a cold water diverter that was too small for our connections. I bought a separate diverter so I can install this. I ordered a totomo 3/8 to 1/2" OD plug-in elbow shut-off valve from Amazon. Installation was otherwise easy. . Power line connected back to the switch. No leaks at all fittings. Water pressure in our house is about 60psi The faucet fits easily through one of the existing holes in our stainless steel sink. Minutes as directed in the instructions. After that time I filled the glass and it was quite cloudy. I wasn't sure at first it's a floating medium. I got it myself took a closer look and it turned out to be a lot of small bubbles. After that the bubbles disappeared and the water became clear again. As far as I can tell it tastes good. The water is coming out slowly. My wife says it's something like that slow like the raindrop filter she used in her old house. While the zero pitcher filter took a while to work, it dumped quickly. This is happening in an instant lich, but the slow owl follows. It's a compromise, but overall it's still better. I understand why someone would want a built in backup tank. The lifespan is the same as our pitcher. They are said to be replaced every six months at a cost of around $90 for hosting installed through an Amazon subscription. Hope that won't be a problem. Overall we're happy with the ease of installation, although a part was missing and additional hardware had to be used. And we make room on the counter.
