Update 2 years later: I regret ordering this heater. Without setting the temperature it's really difficult to figure out how to set it and heat the room depending on the temperature. My other Delongs are fitted with a thermostat or other direct blown heater to keep you much better warm. I'm going back to my heater with a thermostat that can turn back and forth. :(I hope someone from DeLonghi is reading this: Please hire a designer and test your panel heaters for usability! I bought them for rent, so the idea of the heater being easy to use after college doesn't apply here .Each person who uses it will learn it for the first time.And I need to solve the frustration I have when using it: This heater has multiple handles and it is not clear how to solve them all even after I read the manual "thermostat" dial with multiple numeric settings from 1 and up I think we should experiment to see which setting is optimal Even if they had to ship this with Celsius settings it would be more useful to to have actual temperature readings I'm honestly not sure how long it would take How to find the optimal setting The instructions really need to emphasize how to use them dec see from troubleshooting. Either use a marker pen to write instructions on where to turn the knobs, or write instructions on tape to attach to the heater. (This other heater works great, but again has a very confusing design.) The actual functionality of the heaters is amazing - very quiet, gentle heat that is comfortable to leave on for long periods of time. Any good designer can combine ease of use with great design. performance and more comfortable guidance. DeLonghi will win if he does!
