Review on ๐ŸŽง Pioneer Rayz Pro USB-C & Lightning Wired Headphones Earphones - Active Noise Cancelling Earbuds with Microphone, Volume Control - iPhone, Mac, iPad, Android, Nintendo Switch, Google Pixel Compatible - Ice by Jason Wright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Also works with Chromebook, Windows+Linux PC, LG V30+ and other Android devices

A little background before I get into specific Rayz PRO details: I have an iPhone SE and an iPad (5) and first came across this on a pair of Rayz "Plus" in the Amazon warehouse. I was impressed by their sound quality (not great, but very good), the controls are very comfortable (like Hearthru mode or the auto pause function) and the noise cancellation works very well for IEMs (I also have a Bose QC25, which of course better in it).ratio, but bulkier and requires batteries). Basically, for home listening, my iPhone uses iSine 10 IEM with "encrypted" DAC/cable, which is only available for Lightning interfaces. The iSine 10 is an open IEM that is absolutely unsuitable for noisy environments. However, my daily driver phone is the LG V30(+) and I use some other 3rd party devices (Chromebooks/tablets/PCs/DAPs etc.). So I was looking for noise canceling IEMs for these devices for travel/commuting etc. Before Rayz PRO I tested Xiaomi ANC in-ear headphones with USB-C but they are inferior in noise canceling and sound quality. The Rayz PROs aren't available here in Germany yet, so I took the risk of ordering them from the US side and potentially losing $33 in shipping + import tax if they don't meet my needs. I do not regret it. They are very good and work with most of my devices (!). Since Pioneer doesn't specifically mention this, I thought I'd write this review for others who might want to try it. /HearThru/calibration .) with the iOS app on iPhone/iPad, but after that they can be used on many more devices than advertised here with some limitations: - LG V30 (+) Android phone with USB-C: almost perfect The only downside is that Apple's double/triple tap buttons to skip tracks don't work on this and all other non-iOS devices. - Chromebook and Asus Chromebit CS10 (no audio output). Harbor). Rayz PRO is immediately recognized as a USB-1 audio device with input and output channels. - PC with Windows 7 (without special drivers). I think it will work with win10 too. It supports multiple sample rates and bit depths up to 48kHz/24bit. - Linux PC (Ubuntu 18.04) with USB-C (f) to USB-A (m) adapter - Fiio M9 - Android-based digital audio. Player (DAP) with USB-C digital audio output. - cheap chinese android phone (doogee) with micro USB OTG_to_usb-C cable plus gender changer adapter. it does NOT work (properly) with: - another cheap Android phone (cubot Rainbow 2); The automatically selected sample rate seems as low as possible (8kHz) and sounds muffled - two other (non-Android) DAPs that support USB-C audio output are the Cayin N3 and Shanling M0. The sample rate and audio quality are okay on both devices, but the output volume is set to maximum and cannot be changed (neither on the remote control nor on the device itself) - so check carefully if you want to preserve your hearing. * UPDATE: With the recently released Shanling M0 firmware version 2.3, the Rayz PRO USB audio output volume control now works on this device too * There are only two (minor) annoyances: the USB-C connector is really too tight and its housing is too big to fit when the phone is in a case. But overall I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to Apple users as well as anyone who likes to experiment a little with their devices.
