I love this piece. For years my dentist warned me that I was too aggressive when cleaning my gum line. Now I have a carved ridge in the dentin. I couldn't help it. If I didn't brush there, my teeth would still be blurry at the gum line. My friend does dental implants. She insisted I try the pickaxe. I bought a canister but I hate this whole ensemble cluttering my bathroom counter. Also, I had to fill the water tank once or twice to clean all my teeth. I considered plugging it directly into the faucet myself, but decided to check out the Revain first. Of course someone has already built a water cannon with a direct water tap. I bought it about 4 months ago and couldn't be happier. The adapter works perfectly (I kept the original from the sink in the closet). Gathering works great. It's made of lightweight plastic with no flimsy or leaky parts. I can clean my gum line for an hour if I want, with no electricity and very little water. When I'm done, I take it off the adapter, rinse it and hang it to dry. If we have company, I'll toss them in a drawer. It's so easy and so enjoyable, I brush my gums every time I eat at home. And no blurred gum line! I'm back at Revain to order another one for my vacation home.
