Review on ๐Ÿš— Dorman 520-809 Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly for Mazda 6: Optimal Front Lower Forward Compatibility by Alexander Scharon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

good item good price

I installed this on my 2007 Mazda 6. The car used to make unpleasantly loud creaking noises when driving over small bumps or when turning the steering wheel. It all started small and got worse and worse. Replacing this part solved the noise problem. There is a good video on YouTube showing how to do this work. The hardest part is removing the ball joint. I used a GearWrench 3916D universal ball joint cage and still had to hammer part of the bolt. Also make sure everything is installed properly before tightening the bolts/nuts. I think the Amazon price is about 1/4 the retail price, not to mention the labor. I saved a lot of money by doing it myself.

Pros
  • Control lever
Cons
  • Doubtful senior purchase
