🚗 Dorman 520-809 Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly for Mazda 6: Optimal Front Lower Forward Compatibility Review

When inspecting my car today I was told it needed replacing and would fail the inspection. 9 months and it's already junk. The original clocked 240,000 miles, but this one barely managed 20,000. Don't waste money.

Dorman quality and price as usual. I usually use them for all my wishbones, ball joints etc, never been disappointed. They fit my 2006 Mazda 6s 3.0L perfectly and make perfect sense. Only the nut was too small for the ankle and I had to reuse the previous one. Also, the car drives much better than before since all the bushings were removed.

Bought two for my 2007 Mazda 6. The passenger side lasted about 18 months before it started squeaking again. A few months later, the sleeve was completely shot. I've got about 22,000 miles on it, mostly boring direct freeway trips. Oddly, the driver's side is still good and tight / no issues. For the price and ease of repair, it's a fair deal, but don't expect it to last as long as the stock unit.

I installed this on my 2007 Mazda 6. The car used to make unpleasantly loud creaking noises when driving over small bumps or when turning the steering wheel. It all started small and got worse and worse. Replacing this part solved the noise problem. There is a good video on YouTube showing how to do this work. The hardest part is removing the ball joint.
