I live alone in this house and I don't have to pay for 5 satellite receivers. my games room (billiards/darts) or bedroom. I now have this unit that powers my main TV, games room and external TVs. None of my TVs are the latest version. All are at least 6 years old (gaming plasma at least 15 years old). ), but I noticed a slight change in the image, but to be honest it's not better or worse for me, just a little different, something with colors. Colors with the TV controls. The big advantage is that picture and sound are now synchronized between the three televisions. Come to the Superbowl party, we won't have guests in the game room cheering on the game while guests in front of other TVs wonder what happened. lol. (Happens with various dish receivers. They were only there for a second or two.) FYI, the HDMI cable that goes to the plasma TV in the game room is 50 feet long. It's a pretty solid cable, but I don't think there's any significant signal loss. In general I am very happy with them.
