I've used this for 10-24 and 1/4 x 20 aluminum rivets with no problems. That's what this tool is for. If I wanted to install carbon or stainless steel, I would choose a more reliable system. I wish the gun had a little more reach when tightening rivets and removing the tool after the nut was flared was awkward. However, it worked as described and definitely got the job done. I had to knock out a nut out of twenty or so. Otherwise it worked well and I will definitely use it again. If you're looking for a better way to attach plates and brackets to sheet metal than sheet metal screws, then this is the way to go. Very happy with the results.
