Great lens for the price

I've been torn about buying this lens. The reason I ended up getting it really was the value it offered. You'd be surprised how much cheaper/older cameras can be stretched before actually noticing a significant drop in quality. This is the case with this lens. Does it have features? Yes. Is it a replacement for the Fuji 27mm? Not really. However, I would say that any technical shortcomings of this lens can easily be circumvented. I've heard of issues with this lens's infinity stop focusing the lens beyond infinity. For my example, this problem is true. And people really value that. But the focus point at infinity is literally less than an inch from infinity. Knowing this makes the setup so incredibly easy that in practice it can hardly be called a disadvantage of the lens. This is of course a quality control issue; but the lens costs $50. Vignetting is also present. This is very noticeable when shooting in dark environments with f/2.8. This might be an issue for some, but from what I've seen it can be covered in one post, and even if it's noticed, it won't destroy the world. I notice that there is some near-distortion in portraits, but in reality this is not the case. normal portrait lens. And it can definitely be covered in a post (if it bothers you that much). Flash can be bad here; A lens hood solves the problem of glare from natural light, but if you're shooting directly into a natural or artificial light source (such as the sun or a lightbulb), you're out of luck. Overall I would say this is a good everyday documentary. Lens. If you want a pseudo film camera experience, it's possible. Do not buy this if you are going to use it to reproduce artwork or do general fashion portraiture on billboards or whatever. Working within the 'limitations' of this lens was no problem at all for me.
