About a couple of weeks ago I was watching a DIY show on youtube about how to wax/shine marble/granite countertops in the kitchen. Surprisingly, this guy applied a tortoiseshell wax coating and then polished it with a buffing machine (after cleaning the top, of course). Couldn't believe it. So I went ahead and tried it and the result was worth it. The guy at the show used a puffer and I just used my hand and a soft cloth but the results were pretty good (even better if I had a puffer). and it loses its brilliance and dark glossy black reflection, while the waxed acquires a new luster. I sold it to use to clean and maintain my kitchen countertops.
