The 1/2" FIP side (the part of the valve that screws into the pipe coming out of the wall) is round which again means it's difficult for me is to use him a standard tooth wrench to screw it in, which helped, but the new valve had teeth and scratches all over the side of the 1/2" FIP. Bad design to sum it up. As for the rest of the valve, the two 3/8" sides did exactly what they were supposed to do and the valve works well. So if I had to do it again, I'd look for a valve that allows the crescent wrench to hook on the flat sides instead of the round shape on the 1/2" FIP side. This valve would have been my second choice, If I hadn't found a better design.
