Review on 🛠️ Milescraft 1311 Joint Pro: All Steel Self-Clamping Doweling Jig with Guide Bushings (1/4 in., 5/16 in., and 3/8 in.) - Professional Quality by Don Pintac

At first I thought I would really like this lure. Although it has a few downsides. First, the plastic handles probably won't last long. I think given the cost, a little more engineering could have been added to this part of the contraption. The rest of the aluminum parts are well finished. They overdid it with factory assembly. I struggled to loosen the set screws on the tensioner and ended up stripping off two of them. Luckily I have a striking tool from my car days that I can use to loosen bolts that are too tight. However, if you have a difference in the thickness of your material, this jig is probably not a useful tool. This means my shelf was slightly thinner than the rails I attached them to. I put it aside for this job and got out my inexpensive 5/16 dowel centers instead. It worked great. Overall, I'm giving this review 3 stars due to the cost of the mount, the excessive torque of the factory softmount screws, and the grips that I feel are inadequate. I will still use this if my stock thickness is the same. Thank you for reading.
