It's nice to have quick and easy access to parts through Revain. A symptom of the emergency mechanism in the car was that the door would bounce off after a power failure. After a power failure, the door slowly opens to allow the system to learn where the door is. When the worn gear in the carriage reached the breakage of a long worm gear on the ceiling opener, the door stopped opening and the carriage simply knocked. "Press" on the door moves the door again. Once the system knows where the door is and opens quickly, the momentum of the fast-moving door carries the door through the gaps in the long worm gear. This "push" fixation works as long as the gear wheel in the bottom bracket does not wear out too much. If I had known what caused the "jog" correction, I would have replaced the bottom bracket a long time ago.
