Review on CGA 580 Nipple Regulator Cylinder Fittings by Brian Rivenbark

I was looking at two brand new regulators from a welding supplies store and was trying to find a replacement regulator for my TIG configuration, particularly looking for a regulator that seals tight and does not leak when filling. All had a slow leak no matter how tight the nut was. Installed a hand tight CGA-580 on a regulator attached to a tig rig argon tank, hand tight as the name suggests and absolutely no signs of leakage. Next order the same for the Argon/CO2 mig rig. Great product, hermetically seals and saves a bit of gas (leaks were slow but leaks sure). I've been using it for a few days now and no problems so far. Not sure how durable the O-rig is but it looks like a regular size. It is not certain when it will fail and I am looking for a replacement. The threads on the nipple that screws into the regulator are normal - one of the regulators worked fine, the other had thin threads so there is still a leakage problem.
