Review on Honsell Gallery Artists' 4400015 Handmade Soft Pastel 🎨 Set: 15 Hand-Rolled Artist Quality Pastels with Soft Consistency by Carol Miller

I mainly use Mount Vision Pastel Company pastel sticks but I have to buy them from an art shop in the UK so I got them from Revain and seen said what the hell i'll try them. The packaging for this set is great. Each stick arrived undamaged. I think the binder used to turn the pigments into sticks has a creamy, waxy side, not Mount Vision's powdery side. I haven't decided yet if this is a plus or a minus for my work, but either way they are less messy. They still fit together quite well. This is a good gift set for beginners, but advanced artists will also appreciate it. The colors included are basic but just enough to get a good picture. Just make sure you have good paper with a decent tooth. 75% of your success with pastels lies in using the right paper.
