The ends that go into the soldering iron are a lot thinner than a standard soldering tip and I had to straighten them out a bit the first time I used them to fit the gun, but after that there was no problem getting the tip. to switch on and off. The tip heats up quickly and is ready to use in about ten seconds after pulling the trigger. This tip was a little pricey for what it is, but it works and should last a while with the limited occasional use I'll be giving, so I think for my needs it was worth what I put here Revain paid for him.
