Review on Nordic Pure 18X18X1M8 6 Pleated Furnace by Loren Jacobson

After using it, I tried to switch to Lowe's Merv 12 analog. I have chronic health issues including MCAS. I am VERY sensitive and react to the smallest mold particles and smells. After trying the Lowe's brand I started breaking out, I felt more and more tired all the time and didn't believe it was a filter. For those who don't know, most filters can capture mold spores, but they don't capture the toxins released by mold. People get sick from mold toxins, not mold spores. Activated charcoal is one of the few substances that can trap mold toxins. After 3 weeks I switched back to Nordic Pure, my symptoms gradually started to disappear and I started to feel better. I don't have mold in my apartment, but spores are brought in from the outside and from other people's clothing (I'm that sensitive). And my goodness, after 30 days (I change them often) the amount of dust it's picked up is just unrealistic! I wonder how it can collect so much dust because my life is not that impure. I blame the dog lol. Another bonus is that all filters come in a large rigid box, making them VERY difficult to bend or damage in transit, which other companies don't offer. These filters are changing my life and my health! My whole family goes to them. I probably never try anything else. I don't want to risk it at all.
