I have several Shop Vac hoses and a whole box of nozzles and adapters, the latter of which I ordered while trying to find the right custom or metric woodworking tool dust holes in my shop. I figured I could use this to conveniently connect two Shop Vac hoses. The problem is that this coupling doesn't have enough depth or friction to hold the two hoses together, even when running a vacuum. I don't know if Shop-Vac suggests you use tape or solvent to glue it in place as it definitely won't work as a friction fit with the Shop-Vac supplied ferrules. It might be better to use this rubberized clutch with stainless steel straps if you need a tight connection that can be easily broken: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006TWQDG8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_3 the clutch in question is it not for direct use with Shop-Vac's corrugated hoses, but rather with Shop-Vac supplied corrugated hose end fittings/couplings or to connect to outlets on Paul vending machines
