Almost does the job

If they could make it an inch longer it would be perfect. Even 1/2 inch will make it workable. When you put it on the end of the hose, it fits perfectly with friction. Then when you put the other end on the other end it will rest on the end of the first before sitting down. 1. Whoever approved this product for production screwed it up. I managed to do this by using tape to tape a tube slightly outwards (doesn't sit). As I got the hitch for a specific reason to add an extension hose for a…

Connector not long enough for a friction fit

I purchased one of these connectors in early September 2020. 2 Connect hoses correctly. As another reviewer mentioned, a slightly longer length would likely offer a snugger fit and work properly. For me the plug works pretty well and only broke once while cleaning. I tried pulling the power supply by the hose. While the unit's suction power is generally sufficient to keep the hose from becoming detached during cleaning, I have kept the hose disconnected during storage as the weight of the hose…

Its use is limited - stock up on some tape or solvent to secure it in place.

I have several Shop Vac hoses and a whole box of nozzles and adapters, the latter of which I ordered while trying to find the right custom or metric woodworking tool dust holes in my shop. I figured I could use this to conveniently connect two Shop Vac hoses. The problem is that this coupling doesn't have enough depth or friction to hold the two hoses together, even when running a vacuum. I don't know if Shop-Vac suggests you use tape or solvent to glue it in place as it definitely won't work…
