I wasn't sure I'd like this, but I took a chance. I love it! The base has a smooth silicone coating that will not scratch furniture and prevent it from sliding off the table or desk. It is designed to hold two devices (two laptops fit) that I use for my laptop and tablet. Both are secure and won't slip out of their slots as the slots also have a silicone strip. Not only do they take up less space when not in use, but they also allow you to store them vertically instead of horizontally, and charging your devices becomes much easier. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this product to everyone.
