The alarm irritates the electronics
That's a great idea, but a traffic alarm is only really a good idea if you park your bike in a garage or some other sheltered spot. It doesn't take a lot of vibration to make these things squeal; I ended up removing the battery and now only use it as a visible deterrent on my front wheel plate. The vibrant color will catch the eye of any would-be thief.
