Bought this device specifically for cloning hard drives. I followed the instructions and tried about 10 times. I also tried different drives. When using the offline cloning option, "25%" sometimes flashes continuously and needs to be canceled. In other cases, it fills up completely to "100%" light and is done. Now that a lot of time has passed, it seems to have worked. But when connected to a laptop, it won't boot. When you plug it back into that dock and try to browse the drive, it says it has been partitioned but has no data on it. Any idea why it took so long? It also doesn't work properly as a docking station. Only one drive can be displayed at a time. So if you have 2 drives connected, one will be selected which will show up in Windows. Coincidentally. Hence it is also not possible to use this thing with cloning software as it cannot see both drives at the same time. Stay away from this product. I'm sending it back.
